Obituary of Joseph F. Malatesta

JOSEPH F. MALATESTA SR Joseph F. Malatesta Sr., 90, passed away Saturday June 19th after a brief illness. Born November 20, 1919, he was lifelong resident of Vineland. He was a graduate of Vineland High School class of 1938. After high school, Joe received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy. Joseph was a member of the Master Plumbers Association and past member of the Bobby Bee Hunters Club and the North Italy Club. A dedicated parishioner of St. Francis Church who donated countless hours of labor to install and maintain the plumbing, heating and air conditioning for the parish. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He is pre-deceased by his wife Dinah (Wozunk) Malatesta, a son Joseph A. Malatesta Jr, parents John and Angela (Meschi) Malatesta, a brother Albert J. Malatesta and wife Anna. He is survived by his sister Ellen (Malatesta) Elbeuf and husband Joseph, a brother John Malatesta and previous sister in law Margaret. and sister in law, Helen (Wozunk) Wolbert and sister in law Edna Wozunk. A nephew, Dale J. Elbeuf, niece Dawn (Elbeuf) Cerana and husband Randy, niece Gwen (Elbeuf) Hagenbarth and husband Chet, niece Maryann (Malatesta) Kmentz and husband John, nephew Albert Malatesta and wife Debbie, nephew John Malatesta and wife Karen, niece Margaret (Malatesta) Mize, and niece Kathleen (Malatesta) Watkins and husband Aaron and several cousins, great nieces and great nephews. Visitations will be held on Tuesday evening from 7pm to 9pm and again on Wednesday morning 9:30am to 10:30am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. followed by the funeral liturgy at 11am at Divine Mercy Parish (St. Francis) Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
