I have an elementary school memory of Dale, playing in his basement one Saturday trying to create various Winter Olympic events with whatever objects we could find there. I know, it sounds crazy, but we shared our imaginations that day and had a lot of fun. Dale was one of the cool kids at Cunningham and I was thrilled to share that good time with him. That memory has stayed with me all these years. Rest easy, my Olympic teammate. You have medaled.

I'm so sorry to hear of the Elbeuf Family loss. Dale and I met through his work as a Recreation Super many years ago. I had the same position in a neighboring city and we would vent and collaborate together often. He was the type of guy that never met a stranger and really liked to talk. We would carpool to NJRPA conferences in AC and I never got a word in on the drives. lol. We last caught up with each other in December 2024 when he gave me the exciting news of his retirement coming. Crazy how life works. Well Dale, rest easy. I'll miss you, friend. My sincere condolences to his family. We lost a good guy. -Melissa Hemple

I am saddened to learn of Dale's passing. He and I went all through school together, from kindergarten on, and both he my father never failed to mention how Dad and Mr. Elbeuf, Dale's father, were close buddies in elementary school, spending lots of time together outside of school. Mr. and Mrs. Elbeuf were always kind and good to me, and Dale was just the same. He so wonderfully invited me to his house for a get together early in the day of our 50th high school reunion, along with others we'd gone to school with in Vineland. He didn't have to do that, invite me, as we certainly weren't in close contact. But he valued our history together and the friendship that lay under that, and I did, too. The world is a colder place when a good, kind person slips away, and tonight it's chillier because we lost Dale. My condolences to his sisters and the entire family.

My sympathy to Dale's family and loved ones. My family and I met Dale several years ago on Thanksgiving Day, when his GPS mistakenly took him to my house, where I was hosting Thanksgiving dinner for 23, instead of my neighbors. From that moment on he became an honorary member of my whole family. He is fondly and will be forever known as "Cousin Dale". The following Thanksgiving he stopped by again and every Thanksgiving thereafter, we either called or face timed with him. My daughter wrote into the Jimmy Fallon show about the Thanksgiving mix up a few years ago and Jimmy actually read the story on his show! Dale was a great man and loved by many, may he rest in peace.

I was very sorry to hear of Dales passing. As long as I have know him, he always was a Vineland guy, who only wanted the best for the athletes and citizens of Vineland. He will be missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him on his journey through life. May he now rest in peace.
