Obituary of Leona Ann Knoll

Leona "Lee" A. Knoll, 64, of Vineland, passed away Saturday, Ocotber 24, 2009, at home. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Lee was a Vineland resident since 1963. She was the youngest of eight children. She was a graduate of Midwood High School in New York and attended Cumberland County College for writing and poetry. Several of her works were published in poetry books. Lee was a cashier for 10 years at Acme Market on Main Road in Vineland and a former insurance agent for Edward Kirchenbower, Nathan Edelstein and John Malatesta insurance agencies. She previously was a supervisor for Aims Training School and State School were she was in charge of mentally handicapped individuals. Lee also was a former hostess for Larry's Restaurant on Landis Ave and a waitress at Nucci's Diner in Vineland and a bookkeeper for several other restaurants. She was a member of the Chestnut Assembly of God and a former Brownie Troop Leader. Lee enjoyed doing arts, crafts, logic jigsaw puzzles and watching television. She loved spending time with her family and friends, her cats and other animals. Lee gave love and friendship to many people with whom she met and worked with.
