Obituary of Anthony D. Buonadonna

Anthony D. Buonadonna Jr. Anthony "Skip" Buonadonna (81) of Vineland NJ passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his family. Anthony was born in Vineland NJ to Anthony Sr. and Gilda Buonadonna in 1943. He resided in Malaga until he moved to Vineland his freshman year of High School. There he met the love of his life (Marna Warren) in 9th grade Algebra class. After graduating Vineland High as a baseball and football star, he attended Villanova for his undergrad and then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate at Rutgers Law School. Growing up an only child, Anthony loved and had an incredible relationship with his Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Many of them became like his brothers and sisters. His love for them increasing over the years and lasting forever. In 1980 he opened his law firm with partners where they built their firm for the next 40 years. He was a certified trial attorney, and his passion was trying cases in front of a jury. As a family, we remember him studying and reviewing for days and nights before a trial and loved celebrating with him when the trial was over. It was so great to see how proud he was and how much he loved what he did after a case was complete. But his perfect day would be to cook an Italian Sunday dinner with the entire family over. After dinner he would sit outside and watch all the grandkids play in the yard. And before anyone went home, we would either eat one of his famous apple crisp desserts or his favorite which was vanilla pudding over lady fingers with fresh strawberries and blueberries. And of course, finally ending with making sure all the families had leftovers to take home! He loved coaching softball and soccer where he made long lasting relationships with both parents and players. He lit up when a former player would call him "Coach". He continued loving to be around sports watching his grandchildren compete in all different sports at all levels of competition. He could always be spotted watching a swim meet at Dolphin Pool in the summer, a baseball field in the spring, and a basketball court and an indoor swimming pool in the fall/winter. Anthony is survived by his wife Marna; his sons Todd (Laura) and Brett (Emily); his daughter Tara; Grandchildren Dominic, Nicholas, Dante, Mia, Anthony, Kaila and Dean. He was predeceased by his parents Anthony Sr. and Gilda Buonadonna. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the people who have reached out to express their love, sympathy and memories of their husband/father/grandfather/uncle/friend.
