Obituary of Gregory Sayell
Gregory Sayell, 63, of Vineland passed away on February 1, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was raised in Newfield to the late Richard and Patricia Decker. He loved race cars whether it be working on them, driving them or racing them. He would bring his cars to the Landis Avenue car shows. He most recently was working on a 67' Barracuda with his son Greg.
Greg enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing in the ocean or finding new spots to fish with his son. He loved riding dirt bikes and coaching all the kids in basketball or track. He also liked to read and indulge in his "sweets". Greg was a problem solver; always trying to figure out a solution to anyone's needs or helping others. His favorite thing though was sitting on the porch sharing stories especially with his brother-in-law, Bill Bernhardt.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Sayell; son, Gregory Sayell II; daughter, Ashley Sayell; nieces and nephews, Billy Bernhardt (Lisa), Kelly Francis (Marty), Hope Angelastro (Chris); Holly Ottinger (Chip) and Ernie Bernhardt (Megan); great-nieces and great-nephews, Colette, Shane, Corinne, Brooke, Jaxx, Elliana, Jake, Jagger, C.J., Chad, Ernie & Braxtyn; and seven great-great nieces & nephews; his sister Patricia Lodge and her sons Seth, Aaron, and Josh. He is also survived by his dogs, Lee the Dachshund & Prime the Great Dane. Greg was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Bernhardt and his father, Richard.
A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Final disposition will be at the convenience of the family.
