Obituary of Michael Godlewski

Michael "Kielbasa" Godlewski, 94 of Vineland passed away Monday July 19, 2010 at home. Born in Philadelphia to the late Karol and Pauline (Romanska) Godlewski and was raised in south Jersey. Mike moved to Vineland where he raised his family before moving to Alpine New York, he then returned to south Jersey and remained a permanent resident since 1995. Michael was employed for Kimble Glass (Owens Illinois) as a carpenter for many years before his retirement in 1975. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, stamp collecting, and coin collecting. Along with his wife Elena; he enjoyed traveling and camping. A dog lover at heart, the most enjoyable times for Mike was spending time with his family. He is survivied by his wife of 68 years Elena Marie "Helen" (Dente) Godlewski, Grandchildren, Mia Knapek and Mickey Riordan, Great-grandchildren Dale Platt Jr. and Harley Williams. also surviving is his sister, Amelia Serdynski of NJ. Michael was predeceased by his daughter; Arlene in 1997, and his brothers Philip, Julius, and Raymond Godlewski.
