Well "Mr.D.",sadly your time here on earth has ended, but you sure left some great memories. How about the trunk full of tomatoes you took to me to sell for you a couple of years ago?Or the "extra" corn you had to sell?I think you secretly wanted to become a farmer at the young age of 85!!But seriously I enjoyed you coming to see me at the block now and again. But your greatest gift was the family you raised. I got to know Michael and Kathy and their children, just the nicest people you could meet. And of course Ronnie-my best friend in the world, and Louise.Of course we can't forget my "nephews"Ryan Kevin and Justin, outstanding young men.Mr.D--you did a hell of a job. God Bless You

My condolences to Ronnie (my brother-in-law)and his family. His dad was a great man...but most important, he was an excellent grandfather. I have three wonderful nephews thanks to Mr. DiBiase. He was always there for his grandchildren and taught them a lot. I believe this is why my nephews have grown into respectul adults,as well with Michael & Kathy's children too. I remember the boys telling me about the sleep over they had at grandpop's every fall just before school started with their cousins. They will always have these memories and the knowledge that Grandpop shared with them. Thank you Mr. DiBiase, rest in peace. Roseann Mooney

On behalf of myself personally, and the Greater Vineland Baseball League, we wish to express our sincere condolence to Jennie and the entire DiBiase family. Mike was a great guy and certainly made a major contribution to Baseball in the local area. He is a true Hall of Famer. I'm sure he will be sorely missed by family and friends.

There are many things I will remember my Grandpop for. The love we shared for family and baseball come to mind first. Thank you for being there for all of my Little League and Senior League Baseball games, Gpop. It meant a lot to me. Thank you for all the baseball talks over the years. Thank you for giving the coaches and umpires hell for me. Thank you for standing behind your grandsons 100 percent, always. Thank you for showing me magic tricks when I was growing up. (Where did you hide the quarter at again?) Thank you for telling me so many jokes over the years. I've come to find out that my my sense of humor derived directly from my Grandpop. Thank you for playing stick ball out in the driveway and pitching to me until it was dark and time to come inside and eat ice cream. Thank you for helping me with my artwork. Thank you for teaching me the value of a dollar. Thank you for your talks about politics as a teenager. I learned a lot from you that I otherwise wouldn't have. Thank you for laughing at my imitations of people we know and celebrities. Thank you for all the stories you told me about the jail and growing up. Thank you for goofing off with me whenever I would stop by and acting like comedians. Laughter was the best medicine for us. Thank you for raising a beautiful son who I am proud to call my father. Thank you for taking in my fiance Michelle to our family with open arms. Thank you for being such a character, such a good grandfather, and such a good friend. I will never forget that handshake you gave me last Wednesday Night. I love you, Gpop. Have fun, I'll see you again. -=Ryan

I remember exactly what Roseann is talking about because Ryan and I still reminisce over it to this day. There was the annual end of summer sleepover, ones during the year that we looked forward to at school all week; basically whenever we could, we would because that's how much fun we had @ 2004 E. Oak Road. My Grandpop taught us the in's and out's of cartooning, he instilled a love of the Phillies, even during their bad years, that makes their success now so much more rewarding. We still were going to the Bank with Grandpop up until a couple of summers ago. My Grandpop instilled in me my love for crossword puzzles, and I think he just had a love for words in general as he was always ready with a pun, a joke, or word play, that translated to a larger sense of fun and play in everyday life. For the rest of my life I'll fondly remember our trips down to Florida, to my basketball games, mundane things like painting the garage and hauling manure with he and Kevy to the garden, heck, going to the corner and the Kustard King. Love you always Grandpop, Matty.
