Obituary of Winifred Castaldi

Winifred E. (Behl) Castaldi, 86 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at her home in Vineland. Winnie was born in Philadelphia to the late Eleanor (Wood) and Joseph Behl and raised in Newfield. She attended and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1941. She lived in Sea Isle City and California, then returned back to Newfield to raise her family. As a long time resident of Vineland, she is well known for her love of animals. Her countless hours of volunteer work and contributions to the SPCA will always be remembered. Winnie worked in sales for Sears, Mangino Shoes and Boston Shoe Store in Vineland before retiring, she worked at the Brides Room on Landis Avenue for twenty-eight years. She is survived by her two children, Michael A. Castaldi, Jr. of Bridgeton and Joyce McFarland of Florida; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral home visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 am with a funeral service at 10:00 am at Rone Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
