I have often thought fondly of Mr.Zucal. He was a great bookkeeping teacher and was instrumental in me getting an after school job with a local CPA firm which turned into a job each summer when I was home from college. College led to an accounting career and CPA. Ultimately, I attended law school and none of that might have happened but for Mr. Zucal caring about a student with some potential. He could have taught me and moved on to the next semester of students but he took the time to help me get a job which was so generous.
I regret not thanking Mr. Zucal personally for his thoughtfulness but do send my condolences to his family and let them know he was a generous and thoughtful person. I’m sure they know this but it never hurts to be reminded. Gary Rothschild

Charles was a friend to us. I also knew his parents & sons. Having worked at VHS many years myself, I know how devoted he was to the school and to others. Charles was a friend to me and we had many chats about old Vineland. This is sad news. God Rest CZ. He is with Joey now and his Dad, they were so close. And Helen. God Bless.

Mr. Zucal will be sustained not by his accomplishments, but by the profound impact he has had on those of us fortunate enough to have been graced by his presence and caring. Mr. Zucal was my Accounting teacher at VHS. He is the reason I majored in Accounting and graduated from Goldey-Beacom College. Mr. Baldt referred to a group of us from VHS as “Charlie’s Girls. I will carry on fond memories of Mr Zucal and I will keep his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Zucal's passing. He taught me Accounting and Bus Law from 1983-1985. He was one of my favorite teachers. He even let me carve my name on the board in his classroom. I became a police officer and worked in the high school for a while and said hello every chance I got. He will be missed.
