Obituary of Adella W Yacovelli

ADELLA (AMADEI) YACOVELLI, 94 Retired Vineland School Cafeteria Worker Della W. Yacovelli, 94, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 28, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She enjoyed vegetable gardening at home, attending her road-side produce stand and raising flowers. Her daily walks and sitting under the tree with family and neighbors completed her day. She also enjoyed watching bowling and baseball and her love for family was shown through her cooking and daily visits. Della was always quick to share a story with her grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Joseph Yacovelli for sixty-one years, and the daughter of the late Geldippe (Orlandini) and Luigi Amadei. Della was born in Vineland and resided in Vineland all her life. She worked for Model Blouse, Reber School and Cunningham School until her retirement in 1996 at age 80. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce A. Scarpa of Vineland; son, Louis J. Yacovelli of Vineland; former daughter-in-law, Barbara (Scarpa) Yacovelli; grandchildren, Christine Adele Scarpa, Megan B. Yacovelli and Amanda Adele Yacovelli all of Vineland, and Lauren Scarpa of Camden; sister, Elsie Burnett of Darnstown, MD; nephew Robert Richardson and wife Mary Ann of Marlton; niece, MaryLou Moron and husband Michael of Vineland; cousin Marie Sterchele of Vineland, and personal friend, Lynn (Lush) Meinhard of Vineland. Della was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and James DeFalco of Vineland; sister, Lillian and Robert Richardson of Hammonton; brother, Frankie Amadei of Vineland; and brother-in-law Eddie Burnett of Darnstown, MD.
