Obituary of Simon Wilensky

a Rone Funeral Service 856-691-4222 Simon Wilensky,91 passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at his home. He was born in Poland to the late Esther (Goldschmidt) and Chaim Wilensky. Separated from his family during the Holocaust, Simon was the family's only survivor. He met his wife Cyla (Bolber) after the war at a displaced persons camp. They married and had their first child, Henry, in 1946. The family moved to Vineland in 1948 and bought the poultry farm that they continued to operate for twenty years until Simon retired. Their daughter Esther was born in 1951. Simon was a founder and member of the Agudath Achim Congregation on Main Road in Vineland. He is survived by daughter, Esther and her husband Irv Marshall of Newfield, NJ; grandchildren, Eliot and his wife Renee O' Shea- Marshall of Superior, Colorado, Ita Marshall of Vineland and one great-grandchild Kannen Henry Marshall. Simon was predeceased by his wife Cyla (Bolber) Wilensky; son Henry Wilensky; brothers Moshe and Mordechai Wilensky and sisters Sylvia Wilensky and Rosa Wilensky Sienicki. Graveside services and interment will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm from Alliance Cemetery, Gershel Avenue, Norma.
