Obituary of Peter J. Valla

Peter J. "Loop" Valla, 95, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at SJ Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late John and Victoria (Rossi) Valla and raised in Vineland. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. Peter was a clothing worker at DeRossi & Son for over 20 years. He was a lifetime member of the North Italy Club and was a lover of the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a friend to all. He is survived by his son John and his wife Carol Valla; grandson John; granddaughters Kaitlin and Kristen. He is also survived by a daughter Donna and her companion Sheree Davis. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter was predeceased by his wife Dolly. Special thanks to Billy Valla, Lucy Ferus and recently Suzanne Martirosyan for all their love and care given to our dad. A church visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am followed by a funeral mass to be held at 10:30 am from St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Road, Vineland.
