I was just thinking of Rosie this morning. I knew she was sick and sadly found her obit-first listing. I won't forget how she and Josie helped me out of a jam a few years ago. She was a wonderful friend and enjoyed karaoke nights at the Democratic Club. I wish adorable Victoria and the rest of her family the best. I know this is late but I just found out now:(

Rosie, you will be in our hearts forever as a brave and vivacious soul who took all that life threw at you and threw it right back, with gusto, fortitude and laughter. We remember, with great fondness, our wine-filled dinners, the fall plantings of the spring bulbs, chasing after Snowy, comparing notes on our kids, but mostly, we remember those times when we would just run into you on the street, in front of your house, or walking with Snowy or Victoria, and we could stop and talk, seemingly forever. And when something finally pulled one of us away, we realized as we left you that we felt better, happier. We’d experienced the bright and shining gift that was, and remains, you. Thank you Rosie. You surely light up Heaven.

Rosie will be missed by many, including old neighbors like me who saw her going through so many hurdles and keeping her smile. May Victoria inherit the spirit of such a strong woman. I am praying for both of them.

I have many happy memories of Rosie. We met at our daughters school and atneighborhood activities like dance and sewing. Rosie always had a fun story and there was never a phone call or get together when there was not a lot of laughter and life. We shared mom stories and would brainstorm both being single moms with girls how to be the best parent being both mom and dad.Her strength until the end was so powerful. She will be sorely missed. Rosie - my beautiful friend. You always lit up a room no matter how badly life was treating you....always had a ready smile and a wonderful attitude. You touched so many lives in a positive way - certainly mine. I love you and will miss you always. I remember the first time we went out after we met. Tim, me, Eduardo and you and our kids. We had so much fun. I remember thinking...."I've found a family we can vaction with!" Knowing how seriously I take my vacations, that is a high compliment! I know you are with Eduardo and at peace and that gives me peace. Victoria is an amazaing, beautiful, loving young lady. She could not have had a better mom. Rest now - we love you very very much. There are many memories that we shared but one that we all will remember was the day of her wedding, Edwardo had told Rosie and all of that were in the wedding party not to tie her wedding rings to her handkerchief but " no" she liked the way they looked so she tied them and sure enough they slip off and everyone ended up looking for the rings that were never found. The next day we all went back to look around but to this day they were never found.I have that special handkerchief which I will give to Victoria with the pictures of that famous day.My son Brian and his wife Joann extend their heart felt condolences to the family Brian is traveling on gov. business. We love Rosie and we will still laugh at the many fond memories we shared with her.
