Obituary of Marie V. Tierno

Marie V. Tierno, 94 passed away at her home on Sunday, September 13, 2009. She was born in New York to the late Frank and Rose (Victorelli) Lillia moving to Landisville and on to Pedricktown before settling in Pittsgrove Township where she remained a resident for over fifty years. Marie worked on the family farm along with her in-laws and was later employed in the clothing industry as a Floor Person for Model Coat in Landisville. Along with her late husband, Marie owned and operated the Tierno Moble home park in Pittsgrove. In later years she was employed for the Leggetts Canning Company. A member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union Marie was known to attend the Salem Senior Center daily. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her Children and Grandchildren. Marie is survived by: her daughters, Ida Black, Rita Morgan, Anna M. "Micki" Tierno of Pittsgrove, sons, Pat of Monroeville, and John A. Tierno Jr. of Pittsgrove. Two brothers, Rocco Lillia of Buena, and Tony Lilla of Vineland, two sisters Angelina Dibernardo and Ida Shicunoff both of Vineland. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildred, and one great-great-grandchild and Many Nephews and Nieces. Marie was predeceased by her husband John A. Tierno, daughter Rosemarie Tierno, twin sons John and Joe Tierno, daughter Theresa Tierno, son Nickie Tierno, Grandson Niel Morgan, brothers Nick, Joseph and George Lillia and sister Katherine Siligato.
